Hazardous Materials Awarenss Refresher-Introduction

** Firefighters are required by government regulations to annually receive hazardous materials awareness refresher training. This training is only suitable for personnel who have already successfully passed the initial eight hour hazardous material awareness training.

** 29 CFR OSHA 1910.120q6 requires “Employees who participate, or are expected to participate, in emergency response, shall be given training.”

** Responders shall receive additional training to meet all OSHA/EPA requirements at the federal, state, and local level.

** Training is based on the NFPA 472 standard.
